Redact PDF Online - Black Out Sensitive Text | 1ClickTools
Black out sensitive text, social security numbers, and private data in PDF files permanently. True client-side binary redaction in browser.
About This Tool
Simply drawing a black rectangle over sensitive text in standard PDF viewers does NOT actually remove underlying document text bytes. Tech-savvy users can easily highlight, copy, or extract hidden text underneath superficial black boxes, exposing Social Security numbers, bank account details, addresses, or confidential prices. True PDF redaction requires burning out underlying text objects, vector paths, and image pixels from document stream structures permanently. Our browser-native PDF Redaction tool parses PDF content streams locally, removing selected text sequences and pixel areas completely before rendering permanent black redaction masks over the targeted regions. Because all redaction parsing takes place inside client-side RAM, your un-sanitized source files never pass over external networks or store on remote web servers. Protect your organization from accidental data leaks with true, irreversible client-side redaction.
